  • Wake up democrats, President Barack Obama is not a progressive
  • Glenn Greenwald nails it again Therein lies one of the most enduring attributes of Obama’s legacy: in many crucial areas, he has done more to subvert and weaken the left’s political agenda than a GOP president could have dreamed of achieving. Mythological Jesus and the Sidetracking of the American Public

I'm a freelance writer, working on a degree in ASL interpreting and Creative Writing, and hope someday to have the means to spend most of my time traveling. Our people are sad, our system is broken, our "leaders" are thieves. The power we still have lies in one another, coming together, bridging the gaps. We are all one people, we are all connected. "Create your own system or be enslaved by another man's."

It’s been awhile, but my excuses are relevant: I have no money and must work every free second I have to get by.  Exaggeration?  Yes, but my god things are hard.  I don’t even need to mention gas prices, the cost of food is going up, now that I have finished school I must start repaying loans, there’s that phone bill, electric bill, money money money.  I have become so far behind regarding my finances, although working for a reasonable rate, that stress has overcome my body and I have developed shingles at the age of 23.  The doctor explains this to me by telling me that since I had chicken pox as a child the virus has stayed in my system dormant.  Apparently if a person becomes uncontrollably stressed out and the body has no vent, the virus may reappear in the form of shingles.  Now generally, as the doctor explained, this does not commonly happen to people under the age of 60.  This may say something about what young people are forced to endure nowadays.  Rather, what a huge percentage of the American public is forced to endure.

So the other day I was taking my traditional walk around Lake Harriet trying to unwind, and was approached by a young woman with a  brochure inquiring as to whether or not I had found Jesus, instructing me on how to do so, and listing the perks of accepting him as my lord and savior.  The rest of my walk I thought about all the research I have done in the past, and how sad I feel for all the millions of people caught in the web of Christianity.

I’m going to assume that you know the story of Jesus, the “son” of God, and I am going to  explain my issues with the belief that he is the “son” of God.  Jesus is nothing but the sun, anthropomorphized.  There are multiple proofs of this throughout ancient cultures and their deities.   Here are several ancient gods whose life histories align with that of Jesus; Horus, the sun god of Egypt-3,000BC, Altis of Frigia, Krishna in India-900BC, Dionysus of Greece-500BC, and Mithra of Persia-1200BC.  If you research the mythological life stories from Jesus to Mithra, you will find that each was born of a virgin, each was a miracle worker or teacher, each was born on December twenty fifth, and each died and was resurrected.  Some have even more of the same attributes of Jesus and far pre-date his supposed existence.  The one similarity I mentioned above though, which is the point, is that all of these gods are representations of the sun.  Ancient civilizations realized that the sun is what brings life to the land thus providing for the people who live there.  They also realized that in the Fall days become shorter as the sun seems to move south.  On December twenty second, in their eyes, the sun stops “moving” south, and stays put for three days. Then, on the twenty-fifth, it rises and moves one degree North. That brings back the longer days and the warmth.  The birth of the sun…not the “son”.  This also explains the symbol of the cross for Christian faith and aligns with the crucifixion as well, because when the sun stops “moving” for those three days it resides in the Southern Cross/Crux constellation, which is four stars in a cross.   That is why it is said the “son” died on the cross, was dead for three days, was resurrected  and ascended into heaven.  This is precisely what Jesus does.  One other fact that is of interest, is that the “star in the East” that the three kings followed is called Serius.  On December twenty-fifth Serius aligns with the three brightest stars in Orien’s Belt.  Those three stars have the same names now as they did in ancient times, they are called the “three kings”, and on December twenty-fifth as well, they all point to the place in the sky where the sun rises.

Now this is only a smidgen of information regarding the myth of Jesus and Christianity as a whole, but I don’t want to overload therefore I shall turn this into a few separate postings.  However I must mention that religion, in my eyes and the eyes of many others, is nothing but a machine used to control.  The biggest example and most relevant for the time in which we are living, is the President, our entire system of government possibly.  The conservative media talks about things being “blasphemous” and “sinful” to even mention.  Nothing should be tabooed if there is a just reason for putting it on the table.  The President is a “born again” Christian, yet he has killed thousands of people and stands behind religion using it as a reason not to explain- claiming these people to be “enemies”.  This has been going on for years: The Native Americans, Africans, Spaniards, name the continent, there have been Christians there attempting to purify and “save” people of other cultures by force if necessary, and it has all been in the name of god.  A shield so there will be no questions, and no argument.  The rich and powerful get away with murder because of the way they manipulate the minds of the citizens around them.  Religion is only one of the tools.  The people running this country do not base their actions on morality, they base them on what is in their best interest, what will increase their personal bank accounts.   Don’t ignore the issues and live in ignorance.  It may be bliss, but that bliss will be quickly eliminated if we don’t pay attention and fight for our rights to be free as a society, and freethinking as individuals.

Continuation of the Jesus bit soon to some…
